Sports Cars To Grace Camp John Hay Auto Show In Baguio City

Baguio City, Philippines — The largest gathering of sports cars including a replica of a Mazda RX-7 that was used for the filming of “The Fast and the Furious” motion picture franchise is expected to celebrate the motoring enthusiasts at the Camp Auto Show in Baguio City on October 15th and 16th, 2016.

As part of the 113th founding anniversary of Camp John Hay, the automotive show is slated to gather hundreds of car enthusiasts including motorcycle fanatics for the a couple of days according to Maria Teresa Pantaleon, president of the Camp John Hay Business Club in Baguio City.

“The car show is one of the many clean fun activities we have lined up for the anniversary of Camp John Hay wherein families can enjoy their weekend here and at the same time attract more visitors of the camp,” Pantaleon said.

Pantaleon also added that muscle cars such as Porsche, Lamborghini, Audi, Jaguar, Maserati, and Nissan will be displayed during the two day Camp John Hay Auto Show event.

The car enthusiasts in Baguio City and nearby areas can also test drive a number of top-tier vehicles including Land Rover, Subaru and Volkswagen that will also be displayed at the CAP Convention Center in Camp John Hay of the event also presented by Playbox Event and Cyber Era Enterprise in partnership with Baguio Ayala Technohub.

“This is probably the first outside Manila to feature muscle cars and at the same time there will also be competition for more than 100 cars,” Pantaleon stressed out.

At total of 29 minor awards including four major honors will be at stake for the most prestigious car show in Northern Luzon while five major awards including 15 minor awards will be up for steal in the motorcycle categories. —
