Subic, Zambales – Olongapo City will experience up to 11-hours of electricity interruption on Tuesday, May 27th.
The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines Central Luzon Corporate Communication and Public Affairs Officer Ernest Lorenz Vidal stated that the “customers of Olongapo Electricity Distribution Company (OEDC) will have outage from 7:00AM – 6:00PM.”
“Reason of brownout is to facilitate scheduled annual preventive maintenance of Transformer 2 and Transformer 3 at the Olongapo Substation simultaneous with OEDC’s transmission line maintenance works.”
The people of Olongapo City should expect the electricity to normalize its operations immediately after the system maintenance work completion, noted by OEDC president Jose Maria Abaya.
Meanwhile, the town of Dinalupihan in Bataan, will also experience a 6-hour power outage from 8AM through 2PM on Monday, May 26th, due to the scheduled replacement of Bus A 69kV potential transformer and the re-charging of SF6 gas of breaker 58HM4 at Hermosa Substation.
National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP)’s customers and the general public are advised to take the necessary preparations and precautions for this scheduled power interruption. – Cetureon.com
